Live demo

Don't take our word for it. Type something.

A demo store with 324 made-up products, searched live by the same script your store would load. Try a typo or a SKU.

What shoppers type, and what they get.

Default store search matches exact words in the title. These are the searches it gets wrong.

  • hedphones

    finds Headphones

    Fuzzy search

Typos and missing letters are forgiven, and so are typos in the middle of longer words.

  • RUN-193

    finds Aurora Running Shoes

    SKU search

Exact and partial SKUs. Dashes, spaces and case don't matter: RUN-193 = run193.

  • RUN-193-42

finds The same shoe, size 42

    Variation SKU search

The SKU of a size or color variant brings up its parent product.

  • mesh

finds Running shoes with a mesh upper

    Custom fields & attributes

Color, size, material, model number, or any product meta you choose.

  • earphones

    finds Bluetooth earbuds

    Synonyms

Add your shoppers' words once: earphones = earbuds, tee = t-shirt. They work both ways.

  • case

finds The Phone Cases category, then products

    Category & tag suggestions

Matching categories and tags appear above the products, with how many items each holds.

  • taped seams

    finds Rain and softshell jackets

    Title, description & short description

Every text field is searched. A title match still ranks first.

  • labtop 16gb

finds Laptops with 16 GB of memory

    Numbers and units

“16gb” matches “16 GB”, and model numbers are never fuzzed, so 4K won't turn into 8K.

  • headphones under 100

finds Headphones, filtered to $100 or less

    Understands what shoppers mean

Prices (“under 50”, “between 20 and 40”), “in stock” and “on sale” in the words become filters.

  • headfone wirless

    finds Results for “headphones wireless”

    Did you mean

When nothing matches, Gazelle searches the closest words in your catalog and says so.

Press Enter, and the filters are already there.

A full results page comes with the widget: filters built from your own catalog (category, brand, color, size, price, stock, sale), sorting, and a filter drawer on phones. No theme changes.

Keep them browsing after the search.

Bestsellers, trending products, new arrivals, similar items and recently viewed. Add a block anywhere with one line, or a theme block on Shopify and a shortcode on WordPress.

Decide what shoppers see.

Rules change the results for a search: pin your best sellers, hide what doesn't belong, push a brand up, send a search straight to a page, or run a banner for a campaign with start and end dates. A live preview shows the result before you save.

Every search, what it found, what got clicked and what it sold. Gazelle spots the searches that fail, the ones people retype, and the ones on the rise, and suggests the fix.

Questions

How is this different from my store's built-in search?

Built-in search matches exact words in the title. Gazelle forgives typos, understands SKUs with or without dashes, searches variants, attributes and custom fields, suggests categories, and answers while the shopper is still typing.

Will it slow my store down?

No. Searches run on Gazelle's servers, not your hosting. The storefront script is a single small file with no dependencies, loaded asynchronously.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes. The script attaches to the search box your theme already has. On WordPress you can also use the shortcode, widget or Elementor block; on Shopify, the theme app block.

My store isn't on WordPress or Shopify.

Add one script tag and give us your products as a Google Shopping XML feed or JSON. We re-read the feed on a schedule, or you can push changes through the API.

What happens if Gazelle is unreachable?

The WordPress plugin and Shopify app fall back to their built-in search automatically, so the search box never stops working.

Can I choose which products show for a search?

Yes. Rules let you pin products to fixed positions, hide products, move a brand or category up or down, send a search straight to a page, swap in a different search word, or show a banner, each with optional start and end dates.

How do you count revenue from search?

Add one line to your order confirmation page. An order is credited to the last search the shopper made in that visit, and orders that didn't start with a search aren't counted.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Plans are monthly, and you can switch back to Free whenever you like.
